The D4E pilot project aims to examine elementary students’ non-reading capabilities in the rural Philippines by introducing an incentive-based scheme for parents, teachers, and students. The project is intended to commence this coming May 2020 in collaboration with our international partner, Karen G. Catu, and the San Francisco Elementary School.
The D4E mentoring and career talk initiative intends to provide college counseling and early career guidance both to high school and college students seeking to enter the labor market. By sharing college admission advice, the project aims to support students to effectively enhance their undergraduate or graduate admission chances in the Philippines or abroad. The project also offers career market insights for college students seeking to enter the labor market locally and abroad.
The D4E project, “Building a Better Library for All,” supports San Francisco Elementary School in developing its existing library system and resources by channeling important resources (I.e. books, school materials, laptops etc) to better enhance students’ academic performance and access to knowledge and information.
The Sampu Initiative is a diaspora-led project which aims to encourage diaspora member to contribute to global educational projects in the Philippines by contributing any 10 school-related items essential for low-income students’ academic needs.
Aims to feature the daily lives, struggles, hopes, and dreams of Filipino Diaspora educators, their families, and other community members. The initiative intends to give inspiration and give a face to the individuals, both locally and abroad, involved in the diaspora, mostly only represented as numbers in data.
